Privacy Policy

Effective September 26, 2026

This policy explains what information the Quit Orbit: Habit Breaker app for iPhone and iPad (“Quit Orbit”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, and the choices you have. By using Quit Orbit you agree to this policy.

1. Information stored only on your device

Most of what you put into Quit Orbit never leaves your device. This includes:

This data is kept in the app's storage on your device and shared only with Quit Orbit's own home-screen widget. We cannot see it, and it is not sent to our servers or to anyone else. Because it is not backed up by us, deleting the app or using You → Reset all data removes it permanently. Your device's own backups (for example iCloud Backup) may include it, under Apple's terms.

2. Account information

To use Quit Orbit you sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email and password. Accounts are managed by Firebase Authentication, a service provided by Google. When you sign in we process:

DataWhy
Email addressTo create your account, sign you in and send password-reset emails you request.
Name (if you give one)To greet you in the app.
User ID and sign-in methodTo identify your account and keep it secure.
Password (email accounts only)Stored by Firebase in hashed form; we never see it.

With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email; Apple then gives us a private relay address instead. With Google Sign-In, Google shares your name and email with us. We use this information only to run your account, never for advertising.

Like most online services, Firebase may process technical information such as your IP address and device details to deliver and secure sign-in. See Firebase's privacy information and Google's Privacy Policy.

3. Purchases

Quit Orbit Pro subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment card or billing details. The app only learns from Apple whether you have an active subscription, so it can unlock Pro features.

Quit Orbit Pro belongs to the Quit Orbit account that bought it. To do this, the app attaches an anonymous identifier to your purchase. It is derived from your account but doesn't reveal your email or name to Apple. Pro then unlocks only while that account is signed in, even if someone else signs in on the same device or Apple ID.

4. Notifications and Face ID

Daily reminders and milestone alerts are scheduled on your device; no notification content passes through our servers. If you turn on the app lock, Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode is checked by iOS itself. The app only learns whether unlocking succeeded and never has access to your biometric data.

5. What we don't do

6. Sharing

We share account information only with the service providers that make sign-in work (Google Firebase, and Apple or Google when you choose them to sign in), or where the law requires it, for example in response to a valid legal request.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, it is removed from Firebase Authentication and, for Sign in with Apple, we also revoke the app's access to your Apple ID.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the EU/UK GDPR or California law), you may have further rights, such as to object to processing or to complain to your data protection authority. We will honour these requests as the law requires.

9. Security

Sign-in runs over encrypted connections, and passwords are stored hashed by Firebase. Data on your device is protected by iOS, and you can add Quit Orbit's own Face ID lock. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. Children

Quit Orbit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International use

Google may process account information on servers outside your country. Where it does, it relies on appropriate legal safeguards.

12. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
